Charlie came from a traumatic past, having lived in a crowded home with many animals before eventually finding shelter on a friend’s stoep after being abandoned. That friend gave him a second chance, and when she sadly passed away, she entrusted Charlie to us. He’s been part of our family for seven years now — deeply bonded with his cat siblings and dearly loved.
At age 12, Charlie was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis across his spine, shoulders, and hips by Dr Tim from Valley Vet. Eugeni was my first point of contact, and her knowledge led me to both Dr Tim and Vetrenew. Charlie’s condition was so advanced that, in the past, he may not have survived the pain. But thanks to Vetrenew’s stem cell treatment in September 2022 — followed by Solensia the following year — Charlie’s life has changed dramatically. He’s more mobile, comfortable, and present with us, enjoying quality time he might not otherwise have had.
We are deeply grateful to Vetrenew, Eugeni, and Zoetis for their pioneering work and compassion. Because of them, Charlie — now 16 — has more good days than bad. Their dedication has given him a life of dignity, comfort, and connection.
